Ängelholm – Båstad

From Ängelholm the Kattegattleden continues along the coast to Vejbystrand. You cycle through open coastal meadows, several smaller coastal communities and small patches of forest. At Ängelsbäcksstrand you turn away from the coast to cycle across the peninsula, into the very heart of Bjäre. At first there is a gentle climb, but gradually it becomes steep in places – see the elevation chart below. You make your way into a modern agricultural landscape with large continuous fields, eventually reaching the small-scale farming landscape so typical of the Bjäre peninsula, shaped and based on livestock farming since prehistoric times.

The Kattegattleden continues through Grevie, after which the stage carries on past the golf course and down into Sinarpsdalen. The stage ends in Båstad after a breathtaking ride down the ridge.
