Halmstad (The Castle) – Falkenberg (Tullbron) Route length: approx. 57 km

The route continues westward towards one of the west coast’s most beloved beaches; Tylösand. Here you can swim with extra confidence, as the beach is supervised by professional lifeguards throughout the entire summer. Tylösand is followed by the beaches of Frösakull, Ringenäs and Vilshärad before the route turns eastward to connect with the Kustvägen. Feel free to stop and visit the windmill in Särdal, where you’ll find both a café and a farm shop.

Several beautiful nature reserves, featuring among other things unique coastal meadows, can be found both before and after the charming village of Steninge. After Steninge, the route follows the Kustvägen for a short stretch with the rugged stone landscape as the backdrop (which the poet and Steninge resident Alf Hambe calls Molom in his songs) before transitioning into a lush agricultural landscape that spreads out at Steninge strand. Feel free to stop at Steninge Vandrarhem for a coffee break at the Plätteriet.

The sea, open landscapes, scenic and bird-rich nature reserves, charming little farm shops and much more await you on this lovely stretch! Along the cycle route there is plenty to discover, with both small and large beaches to take a relaxing break at, such as Ugglarps havsbad and Skrea strand, before you roll into Falkenberg.
